In the 60s and 70s, while working for the Atomic Energy Commission, I worried something like this would happen. In 1986, when Chernobyl exploded in the land of my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins . . . I began this novel dedicated to Chernobyl survivors. Some material in this book, once classified, has now been declassified.
